Diphtheria toxoid Assay for immune status or response to vaccination
Diphtheria toxoid is a protein antigen and infection with C diphtheria or immunisation with Diphtheria vaccine will therefore produce an immune response predominantly of IgG1 antibodies. Pre-vaccination and post-vaccination measurement of specific Diphtheria toxoid IgG provides important information relating to the ability of an individual to respond to protein antigens.
ELISA / EIA for quantitation of Diphtheria toxoid IgA
Microwells are coated with Diphtheria toxoid and kits are available to measure the specific IgG levels in serum. The calibrator set supplied contains 7 ready to use calibrators enabling the user to extend the sensitivity of the assay to 0.004 IU/mL. The standard ELISA format allows easy automation of this assay.
