Anti Cardiolipin IgGAM S Screening Kit
Autoantibodies against cardiolipin are found in a wide range of conditions such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). This kit is designed for the qualitative screening of IgG, A and M autoantibodies against cardiolipin present in human serum. Samples testing positive in this screening assay should be confirmed by a quantitative measurement of the individual classes (IgG, IgA and IgM) of anticardiolipin autoantibody, using e.g. BINDAZYME Anticardiolipin IgG, IgA and IgM S kits.
Antigen
The microwells are precoated with purifed bovine cardiolipin together with human and bovine ß2 glycoprotein-1 (cofactor).
Result Interpretation
| Result | Interpretation | Action |
|---|---|---|
OD equal to, or greater than cut-off control
| Suspected of having one or a combination of anticardiolipin antibodies | Test on each of the quantitative assays
|
| OD less than cut-off control | Negative | Report as negative |
