Anti-β2GP1 IgGAM S Screening Kit
Antiphospholipid antibodies are associated with diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and more specifically in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). This EIA assay is intended for the qualitative screening of IgG, A and M autoantibodies against ß2-glycoprotein 1 (ß2GP1) present in human serum. It is recommended that samples testing positive in this screening assay, are followed-up by a quantitative measurement of the individual classes (IgG, IgA and IgM) of ß2GP1 autoantibody, using e.g. BINDAZYME Anti ß2GP1 IgG, IgA and IgM S kits.
Antigen
The microwells are precoated with purified ß2GP1.
Result Interpretation
| Result | Interpretation | Action |
|---|---|---|
OD equal to, or greater than cut-off control
| Suspected of having one or a combination of anti-ß2GP1 autoantibodies | Test on each of the quantitative assays
|
| OD less than cut-off control | Negative for anti-ß2GP1 autoantibodies | Report as negative |
